HOME OF THE "TITAN BOTS" AND THE "ALPHA BOTS"
September 2015 was the start of robotics at our school. The Titan Bots learned so much and had a lot of fun! Now, for the 2016 season Fort White Elementary returns excited with two teams! Teams can have up to 10 members each and are open to 4th and 5th graders. We have 2 returning team members from last year joined by 18 additional fantastic students ready to learn!

MEET OUR COACHES AND MENTORS
We are blessed to have returning staff members, head coach Douglas S. Bagg II and assistant coach Susan Moseley, back this year with more knowledge and experience under their belts. Walter Bagg returns as the programming and robotics mentor and coach. Amy Bailey also returns as team mom for the Titan Bots, project mentor and parent liaison officer for both teams. It would be nice if we could find a parent that would like to learn the things that Ms. Bailey does for our robotics club since her son will graduate this year and move on to the Fort White Middle School team.

This year the worldwide challenge theme is "Animal Allies"
LEARNING TO WORK TOGETHER TO BUILD A BETTER FUTURE
This is the project section for First Lego League's challenge for the year. Students must choose a problem that occurs when animals and people interact. Once they have identified a problem they will look for solutions to address this issue. Each team will choose a different animal to focus on. The Titan Bots will be working with mans interactions with Bats. They have already made contact with Indiana State University, Lubee Bat Conservancy, and the Fort Collins Science Center. The Alpha Bots are going to look at ways to help limit the number of Lionfish that have invaded the waters around the Florida coast. They have been in contact with the University of Florida and Florida Sea Grant Research Foundation.
